Matthew Dale spent the duration of his internship surveying the trees in central city neighborhood in Birmingham Alabama.
He collected data on existing trees as well as empty tree wells and strips of land where new trees could be planted. Information collected included species, size, condition, and more. This data will be used to create a map of the trees in central city that will help in deciding where and what kind of trees should be planted. This work will greatly help Cool Green Trees in future plantings as well as advocating for more interns in the future and more trees in Birmingham!
