Alabama Audubon erected two tower-habitat structures for Chimney Swifts, a migratory bird species. This project created much-needed habitat for chimney swifts, whose numbers have declined by over 65% since the 1960s, and has provided hands-on conservation and educational opportunities for visitors to Turkey Creek Nature Preserve.
