Hayden Middle School received a grant from Cawaco RC&D to create a garden space for students to dive into local agriculture and learn more about where their food comes from.
This project aims to cultivate the next generation of stewards for our natural world. Excited to get to work, their students have already helped set up the beginning of the outdoor classroom. The grant will help Hayden Middle School purchase outdoor tables, raised garden beds, planting materials, garden equipment for maintenance, and instructional materials for students.
Thank you to Senator Shay Shelnutt & Rep. David Standridge for your partnership in supporting the next generation of leaders in agriculture and environmental stewardship.
