The Robotics in Agriculture project at LeCroy technical Center in Clanton is incorporating STEM ideas into modern Agriscience coursework. Ag teacher Landon Lowry is utilizing a FarmBot system to teach Computer Numerical Control programing while raising vegetable crops in raised beds. Through the use of these systems students are able to see that agriculture is on the cutting edge of technology. We are hopeful the project will encourage more students to pursue additional training in agricultural careers.
