Cool Green Trees Advisory Council Tree Planting: Growing a Cooler BHM

posted on

Cawaco RC&D’s Cool Green Trees program hosted its inaugural Advisory Council Tree Planting: Growing a Cooler BHM in the Lakeview neighborhood of Birmingham, Alabama, on Saturday, October 17, 2026.

Volunteers and community partners planted over 50 native trees along the streets of this bustling entertainment district. CGT’s goal with this event was to highlight their amazing Advisory Council members and make this an annual fundraising event kicking off fall tree-planting season to ensure the program continues for years to come!
