2024 Shelby
The interns worked for the Shelby County High School FFA Community Garden. Students planted, harvested and donated vegetables to local people and organizations.
The Shelby County High School garden is used in several different ways to benefit the students and the community. Cawaco has been partnering with SCHS for several years.
Shelby County High School also partners with Taziki’s Cafe’s Project HOPE. The HOPE project helps educate and provide jobs for special needs individuals by teaching them to grow herbs for restaurants. Many local establishments are using herbs grown in the garden, and the community and school benefit from the produce!
