2022 Chilton
The YMCA of Chilton County was awarded a $15,000 grant to complete an additional phase of their soccer field renovations and upgrades.
The phase completed was the installation of an irrigation system to improve the playing surface.
Currently, the fields serve 200 – 250 youth during the each of the competitive soccer seasons. The completion of this project with the grant funds will enable the Y to serve more youth.
The improvements will also make it possible for the YMCA to host more competitive events on the soccer fields and serve more youth.
“We are so thankful to CAWACO and to our legislature. These funds are truly a gift that will keep on giving”, said CEO Lori Patterson.
