With the help of a grant from Cawaco, Foundry Ministries was able to purchase new kitchen equipment for their Employment Readiness Program.
The Foundry’s employment readiness training equips individuals who have been chronically unemployed due to substance abuse, with the skills needed to obtain and retain employment. The program participants have successfully been using the new equipment to serve over 500 meals a day, and program graduates are obtaining employment.
The Employment Readiness program benefits both the participants who complete their employment readiness training in food services as well as other program participants who receive meals.
