Aldridge Gardens now has all weather access to the Hydrangea Garden and the picnic area even after large storm events, making our trail system 100% accessible. The trail that runs through the Hydrangea Garden is one of the heaviest used access points to the Gardens, and during inclement weather, visitors returning to the Entrance Plaza via the Hydrangea Garden was often faced with a flooded and/or muddy trail, causing them to back-track and take an alternate route to exit the Gardens. The CAWACO grant enabled us to create an all weather, hard surface walk in the flood prone area so access is possible even during heavy rains
